Overview
This course is designed for complete beginners who have no prior experience with the German language.
At the A1 level, you should be able to understand simple German sentences and recognize basic words that describe yourself and the world around you. You can use familiar greetings and introduce yourself and write simply, for example, filling out forms. Also, you can understand common German words in slow speech.
What You Will Learn:
Use common phrases and everyday language in simple situations.
Talk about yourself and ask others basic questions (e.g., about name, nationality, and where they live).
Communicate at a basic level, especially when the conversation is slow and clear.
Grammar & Vocabulary Focus:
Learn essential vocabulary such as greetings, numbers, pronouns, and the present tense.
Practice basic question forms like “Wie heißt du?” (What’s your name?) and “Woher kommst du?” (Where are you from?).
Practical Activities:
Practice ordering something to eat or drink at a café.
Complete basic forms by providing personal information.
